TatoSalsa Dance Studio has been one of Tampa's most respected Latin dance studios for nearly 12 years. We've been rebuilding the site behind the scenes, and it's close. This page will become the full case study once it goes live. For now, here's where things stand.

TatoSalsa Dance Studio is a Latin dance school in Tampa, Florida, in business for nearly 12 years, rated 4.9 stars on Google. Instructor Juan "Tato" Paredes teaches Salsa (On2/Mambo), Bachata, and Cha Cha through group classes, private lessons, and social events. MDesign Studio is rebuilding TatoSalsa's website in full code, moving off WordPress, and the new build is in progress now.
Why Rebuild TatoSalsa's Site in Full Code Instead of Patching WordPress?
TatoSalsa's current site runs on WordPress: a theme, a stack of plugins, structure nobody at the studio fully controls. It's worked for years, but it comes with the same cost every WordPress theme-and-plugin site carries. Each plugin is third-party code with its own release cycle, its own bugs, its own security exposure. Patchstack's State of WordPress Security 2025 report logged 7,966 new vulnerabilities across the WordPress ecosystem in 2024, about 22 a day, most of them in third-party plugins (Patchstack, State of WordPress Security 2025).
So we're rebuilding TatoSalsa's site by hand, on the same full-code stack we build for every MDesign Studio client, no theme layer, no plugins. Every element on the page is there because we put it there, which means faster load times and a site structured to be read cleanly by both people and AI systems.
Old Site vs. New Build
The old site has served TatoSalsa well for years. The new build keeps everything that already works, the class schedule, the studio's personality, the events, and rebuilds the structure underneath it so the site loads faster and reads cleanly to search engines and AI platforms.
What Happens Next?
The new build is in progress and close to ready. Once Tato reviews it and approves the switch, this page becomes the full case study, what was found, what was fixed, and what changed. Until then, this is where things stand: real work, in progress, nothing overstated.
